Esha Villas in located in the quaint village area of Umalas (meaning ‘rice pady near the forest’), approximately 30 minutes from the Ngurah Rai International Airport. Umalas is only minutes from the beach, and yet is primarily known for it’s numerous, family-owned rice farms which dot the countryside with expansive views to the volcanic mountains in central and east Bali. Whatever the time of year, daytime excursions through Umalas provide views of the farmers working in the fields, plowing, planting, tending, and harvesting the rice. A short 5 minutes to the south of Esha Villas in Umalas is Seminyak, unarguably the location of some of Bali’s best boutiques, restaurants, and bars and clubs.

There are two private villas on the complex: Esha One with four bedrooms and Esha Two with two bedrooms. For a family gathering requiring 6 bedrooms, you may rent both villas as 6 bedrooms in total.

Esha ONE
As you enter through the secret timber gates you begin to step across a large lotus pond filled with koi and tropical plants. Your eyes then lead to the meandering curved alang alang roof that shelters wide verandahs and living spaces which overlook the lush tropical gardens and large swimming pool. You immediately feel at rest and think, ‘Oh, I’m home!’

This villa boasts nearly 500 sq. meters of space, with 4 large bedrooms each with large ensuites covered in floor to ceiling palimanan stone, marble vanities and modern fittings. 3 of the bedrooms have king size beds and one has 2 king singles. Each bed is covered in white linen with goose down duvets and pillows where sleeping is a pleasure.

The main bedroom has an inside and outdoor ensuite with its own private tropical fish pond. All bedrooms have large vanities and wardrobes and storage areas. There is a downstairs TV, living and dining area and a separate upstairs bohemian-styled living room with large TV (ideal for a private get away or separate children’s area). The all-white, large modern kitchen area is pure luxury with 6 burner oven, lots of cupboards and 2-door ice maker fridge.

As you wonder down the curved garden pathway through tall timber gates you are now standing on a raised landing taking in the view of this amazing villa. You will be impressed by the large swimming pool, tropical garden, huge bale overhanging the pool and river behind and staring at the high cathedral style alang alang roof. This villa provides approximately 250 sq. meters of total living space, and offers numerous areas with comfortable appointments for relaxing, dining, and entertainment.

This villa is predominately white, with white polished concrete floors, white walls, and highlighted with lovely furniture and timber features. There are two bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with the main on the ground floor with ceiling height glass doors and windows in 3 directions, a private timber deck area, easy access to the pool and huge indoor outdoor ensuite with 2 showers, 2 basins and a stone bath set in the middle of a large koi pond. Imagine lying in this bath taking in the stars above fish below and bamboo abound?

The upstairs bedroom has its own unique feel with timber and alang features, separate dressing room and ensuite overlooking tropical fruit trees and plants. Access for Villa 2 is through a meandering path along bamboo and stone walls to the entry gate, which reveals an ultra modern bale, a glass-walled downstairs bedroom, and the expansive 2-story open living area.

They will take care of all routine work such as cleaning your villa, washing dishes, changing linen and towels, and handling your laundry and any special requirements you might have.
