‘Selamanya’ is Indonesian word for ‘forever’. Villa Selamanya is an ideal place for a secluded romantic getaway, family vacation or a funky holiday with friends. The villa is also suitable for celebrations, corporate events, weddings or a large party.

From everywhere in the villa you have views which you could only dream about. The interior design and architecture of the villa combines with the environment, to envelop you in comfort and an atmosphere of extreme relaxation by the ocean. Its proximity to the ocean will give you a sense of spiritual harmony and balance and you can watch the ebb and flow of the tides, enjoy a tropical cocktail near by the pool, or simply read your favorite book in a cozy waterfront gazebo.

Villa Selamanya is part of a small, secluded, gated complex on the shores of the ocean, with 24 hour security. A pathway with tropical flowers and small palms leads to a sandy beach where there is a small pier equipped with a private boat (USD$135 / 4 hours), which you can use to go to the secluded beaches of neighboring islands, or fishing or snorkeling. There are free kayaks for guest use to discover the mangroves.

Villa Selamanya Accommodation

Entering the villa through traditional Balinese double doors you step to the garden area with its fabulous views of the ocean lagoon. Cooled by the ocean breeze, the garden has a large 20 meters swimming pool with Jacuzzi area and on one side of the pool there is a sunbathing zone with sun loungers. On the other side – an open dining pavilion with a wooden table and chairs for six persons and there is a gazebo with sofa at the edge of the water.

The villa’s interiors are modern in design with Balinese touches and use only natural materials including wood, stone and marble. On the first floor there is a spacious living room with open kitchen and bar. Sliding glass doors overlook the swimming pool and the ocean lagoon and allow the sea breeze to fill the villa. On a hot day, simply close the doors and turn on the air conditioning.

On the opposite side of the living room sliding doors open into the patio with a small garden, a Buddha statue and fountain, filling the air with the soothing sounds of water. The living room is equipped with an LCD-TV with DVD-player and sound system and comfortable sofas. The entrance to the two guest bedrooms is from the living room.

All bedrooms have their own private bathroom, outdoor shower, wardrobe and safety box.

Villa Kailasha

Villa Kailasha is ideal for a family or a small group of friends, while its velvety lawns are perfect for weddings and other celebrations against the awesome backdrop of the sea. Offering a complete escape from busy city life, Villa Kailasha will charm guests with classic architecture, stylish interiors, gorgeous gardens, modern facilities and an extraordinary amount of private space, complemented by a full team of caring staff who will attend to every need.

The villa is located twist rice fields and the beach within a Balinese village. It is a long way out of town and there are no restaurants, bars or shopping in the immediate vicinity apart from the five-star Alila Villas Soori, which is located just 300 metres away complete with a fine dining restaurant and an open-air bar serving cocktails beside the beach at sunset. The rugged black-sand beach and river estuary offers beautiful walks; this stretch of coastline is popular with surfers but there are strong rip currents and no life guards on the beach so it is not safe for swimming. The village temple is located close to the villa and temple ceremonies on the beach are not an uncommon sight.

Villa Kailasha is approached via a neat driveway which opens into a large parking area with the villa on the seaward side and the staff service building discretely tucked away on the inland side below an orchard garden. An impressive porte cochere bordered by ponds heralds the entrance to the villa. Behind this is the living pavilion and, some distance to the left, the two-bedroom guesthouse. To the right lie the dining pavilion and the master suite. The swimming pool and comfortably furnished bale are positioned close to the beach on the far side of the gardens to make the most of the glorious sea views.

Master Suite
Villa Kailasha’s air-conditioned master suite, with its high roof and cushioned window seat, is furnished with a king-size bed upon a raised platform and two comfortable wicker armchairs. This spacious room is equipped with a ceiling fan, satellite-channel TV and fridge. Guests will relish the views from the bed across the garden and pool to the ocean beyond, which are reflected perfectly in the mirror behind the bed as well. At the back of the room is a large dressing area with fitted wardrobes, plus a huge bathroom with a wide vanity unit, a walk-in rain shower and a bathtub looking into a private garden complete with an outdoor shower. Glass doors lead from the vanity area, directly into the private six square metre plunge pool, complete with a deck and thatched bale pavilion furnished with a table and two chairs.

Guest-House
The guesthouse presents two almost identical guest suites next door to one another within a private, partially walled courtyard complete with ornamental pond. The bedrooms feature sliding louvre shutters over glass doors, marble floors and high roofs. Each air-conditioned room is furnished with a king-size bed and armchairs, and equipped with ceiling fan, satellite-channel TV and dressing areas with fitted wardrobes. The bathrooms offer twin washbasins upon wide vanity units, walk-in rain showers and bathtubs set along-side picture windows overlooking private gardens.

Villa Kailasha Living & Dining Area
The splendid fan-cooled living pavilion is open to the garden, the sea breezes and the view. The room is so large that it features three distinct sitting areas, one of which is furnished with sofas and chairs set around a large-flat screen TV and DVD player. In front of the pavilion is a wide, partially sheltered stone terrace.

Dining
Open on three sides, the dining pavilion features a terrazzo floor under a soaring roof. Cooled by ceiling fans it is furnished with two solid wood tables (one large and one small) that can be brought together to make a dining table for ten, complete with wicker chairs. This pavilion is set in a partially walled courtyard and is linked to the main living pavilion by a short pathway. On one side of the terrace in front of the living pavilion is a separate alfresco dining area with a table for eight: a great spot for a barbecue.

Kitchen
A self-contained ‘butler’ kitchen is tucked away out of sight, adjacent to the living pavilion. It is equipped with an oven and gas hob, a large fridge, a microwave, and a coffee machine. The villa’s main kitchen is located between the staff quarters and the garage. It is fully fitted with a professional range and everything that the cook needs to prepare delicious meals and beverages for guests.

Covering a huge 11,000 square metres of land, Villa Kailasha’s garden presents beautifully manicured terraced lawns dotted with coconut palm trees and flowering frangipanis. On an upper level, behind the staff quarters is an orchard planted with lime, orange, mango and avocado trees. The infinity-edge swimming pool is set well away from the house with spectacular views of the ocean and the windswept black-sand beach. The pool is bordered by a grass-and-paving-stone chequerboard terrace furnished with two sunbeds, a cushioned bench seat and three umbrellas. To one side of the pool is a large ‘bale’ relaxation pavilion presenting a huge daybed with a deep mattress and a colonial-style, cushioned wooden sofa, chairs and a coffee table.

Staff
A team of polite, thoughtful staff, including an in-house cook, are on hand to look after every need – shopping for groceries and serving meals, snacks and drinks. Guests, meanwhile, can escape to a secluded nook to read, rest and relax, or sip cocktails while gazing from the poolside gazebo at the orange glow of another glorious Bali sunset.

Villa Semarapura

Villa Semarapura (formerly Villa Ke Kailani) is located 55 minutes drive from the International Airport and twenty five minutes drive from the busy shops, world-class restaurants and vibrant nightlife of Seminyak. It is just 10 minutes drive from Nirwana Golf Course, one of the best Greg Norman-designed golf courses in Asia; and close to Tanah Lot, Bali’s most dramatic and venerated sea temple. The stunning gardens, timber decks, outdoor alfresco expansive bar and relaxation pavilions also make Villa Semarapura a classic venue for Bali weddings and events.

Villa Semarapura Bedrooms

The five expansive bedrooms are comfortable and spacious. All have timber floors and all are equipped with TVs, DVD players and iPod docks. Four bedrooms are furnished with king size beds and one is furnished with twin beds that can be converted to a king bed. All have walk-in robes apart from the twin bedroom, where the wardrobes are positioned in the corridor. Ensuite bathrooms feature andesite floors, granite vanities, white bathtubs and walk in mosaic showers. Four of the bathrooms boast an outdoor shower as well as an indoor shower.

The stand-alone Master Suite is blessed with beautiful views. It features an entrance hallway, full length walk-in robes, and a bathroom with double washbasins and a double bathtub extending into a large private garden, which is the location of the open air shower. Furnished using mixed media, the combination of dark wood, light wicker, crisp white linen and sparkling accents in the form of cushions and throws in different colours – red, black, bronze, gold and pink-tinged green – in each, the bedrooms are spacious and simple chic in style.

Two large, identical bedrooms downstairs lead onto the wooden deck surrounding the swimming pool. Both have a dressing room and open-air en suite bathroom with double basin, rain shower and bath. A third, smaller, en suite bedroom can be found upstairs immediately to the left of the stairs. Furnished in identical style, but in golden accents, to the rest of the bedrooms, this room is no less charming for its smaller size – indeed, it is the perfect bedroom for a child, right next door to one of the two master bedrooms upstairs.

Which leads us to the two master bedrooms. The first, right next door to the third smaller bedroom and straight ahead at the top of the stairs, is situated above the downstairs living area, overlooking the pool below and the sea beyond. This room boasts a massive dressing room, as well as a large open-air bathroom including basin, bath and rain shower – a rain shower with a secret sweeping sea and Seminyak view! The room, which features pinkish green/bronze accents, also has a small sitting area complete with two comfortable chairs in front of the TV. Double glass doors slide open and lead you onto a private wooden deck overlooking the pool and ocean.

Turn right when you reach the top of the stairs, and the wraparound wooden deck will lead you to the second master bedroom. And this is the bedroom to draw straws for. With two sets of double glass sliding doors – one leading onto the deck looking over the pool and the other onto the front deck and lounge area overlooking the ocean – this room is guaranteed to make the most of those cooling sea breezes. A smaller dressing room leaves extra space for this large bedroom, while the outdoors bathroom boasts both rain shower and bath. The winning feature of this room is, undoubtedly, the front deck. Step out of the front set of sliding doors into paradise – completed with bar area, sundowner lounge area and views over the ocean to the other side of the world.

Each open-air en suite bathroom in Villa LeGa comes complete with its own separate dressing area boasting large amounts of cupboard space. The two downstairs bathrooms both feature double basins, rain showers and baths. All bathrooms use the same mixed media approach to decor, with modern glass, tap fittings and tiling complimented by teak additions and traditional Balinese art accents.

The breezy open-air, and open plan living, dining and kitchen area downstairs, which allows the outdoors in courtesy of sets of sliding glass doors on two sides, opens onto the wooden deck surrounding the pool.

Furnished using the same mixed media approach as the rest of the house, exquisitely carved teak forms the base of the coffee and dining tables, which are then topped by glass. Dark wood mixes with lighter wood, which, in turn, mixes with the even lighter wicker furniture that makes up the seating area. A large couch set looks out onto the pool, with cream cushions allowing for the type of comfortable seating every living area should have.

Another carved teak and glass table forms a unique lighting feature in one corner, with bulbs placed inside the wooden base beneath the glass. Other Balinese carving, lighting and art accents add to the overall ambience, while a water feature to the left of the sitting area gurgles away, adding to the soothing sounds of the ocean.

Villa LeGa Dining Area

To the right of the seating area lies the aforementioned carved teak and glass dining table, with high backed chairs, able to seat up to eight adults. The Villa LeGa staff are more than happy, however, to move the table onto the wooden deck surrounding the pool just in front for an evening of dining under the stars.

The kitchen at Villa LeGa makes use of the convivial ‘open-plan’ approach so often adopted in easy living these days. Set behind the seating and dining areas, a marble-topped island set with a gas hob allows the permanent Villa LeGa in-house chef to showcase his talents to guests. Alternatively, it allows guests who love to cook to indulge their culinary dreams while still remaining a part of the holiday-making going on out front.

Beautiful, polished timber floors are smooth under foot, whilst exquisitely comfortable Ploh bedding and soft muslin nets adorn the large antique four-poster beds, completing the elegant yet simple ambience of these rooms. Each air-conditioned suite enjoys fabulous views of the ocean and garden, and has a luxurious, semi-outdoor, private bathroom with twin vanities, an over-sized bathtub and an invigorating rain-shower.

The bathrooms are filled with fluffy, soft white towels and an array of pampering bath & shower gels, shampoos and soaps. These high quality, natural soaps are handmade in Bali and are free from petroleum additives, fillers, animal byproducts and artificial colours.

A Bose SoundDock is provided in all rooms, as well as a safe deposit box. For safety reasons and the consideration of other guests, bedroom suites are No-Smoking areas.

The air-conditioned TV Room, with pretty views over the garden and fishpond, is centrally located and close to all suites, Living Pavillion and kitchen. The magnificent, airy, open-sided main Living and Dining Pavillion is central to the entire villa and has ample lounging and dining areas for up to 12 people.

Relax on the contemporary sofas, or stretch out on the huge, antique daybed under the gentle breeze of the ceiling fans, and take in 360 degree views of the ocean and gardens. Enjoy great conversation while you dine on the chef’s delicious Western or Indonesian meals around the rare teak dining table.

Alternatively, chill out in the more intimate Pool Pavillion, or enjoy alfresco dining under the stars by flickering candlelight on the outdoor Dining Deck. All areas have Bose outdoor amplifiers for the enjoyment of either pre-loaded music, or your own via an iPod dock.

Villa Jagadhita Kitchen

Although you won’t need to set foot in it, the immaculate, fully-equipped, modern kitchen is joined by a covered walkway to the Dining Pavillion and includes a hot & cold water dispenser, juicer, top-of-the-range Jura coffee machine and a wine fridge.

Villa Jagaditha excellent chef will shop for groceries and expertly prepare all your meals, from hearty breakfasts with home-made smoothies, to delicious salads, a simple BBQ or gourmet dining. The little ones will love his children’s menu, too (especially the enormous home-baked cookies!).

Villa Jagaditha has been designed, built, landscaped and lit by some of the best in Bali. After stepping through the beautifully restored, antique Javanese entrance doors, the luscious garden surprises and delights as it unfolds before you, finally revealing the uniquely shaped infinity pool which magically appears to flow into the ocean.

The pool has a cool, smooth palimanan stone deck with room for 8 sunloungers and a wide, shallow ledge has been designed with little ones in mind, so they can enjoy hours of supervised fun in the water. Every corner of the tropical garden, with its tranquil fishponds and enormous lily pads, ancient frangipani trees and swaying palms, offers a relaxing respite from your normal fast pace of life. If you tire of basking in the sun, pad barefoot across the soft grass to the pool pavillion with a good book, or swing gently in the hammock nestled in the shadow of two majestic palm trees. Perhaps you might simply enjoy the quiet solitude of your own verandah, watching the dragonflies dance across the lily ponds, then finish the day sipping a cool drink on the Sunset Pavillion as you watch the glorious sunset over the ocean’s horizon.
